ATLANTA, Georgia – There's no moose stew on the menu, but perhaps the organic Bison chili will suffice?

The CNN Grill is up-and-running in Minneapolis-St. Paul for the Republican National Convention. CNN has taken over the popular Eagle Street Grille, which is next to the Xcel Energy Center. As in Denver, this location serves as the network's broadcast and media headquarters, while serving up a hefty helping of hospitality for convention delegates, interview guests and other visitors.

This Minnesota-based CNN Grill offers the same menu of live coverage, convention analysis ... and comfort food. So, there's lots of eating, greeting, working, meeting and, simply ... hanging out to be found at the Republican Convention too.

In addition to answering questions like: "What's to eat?" "What's the latest news from the convention floor?" and "Where does Jonathan Mann get to do some of his work?" this is also where conventioneers can find CNN's real "in the field" facility - the well-traveled Election Express bus.

Visitors to the CNN Grill can also submit iReports as easily as they can order a milkshake. (Too bad those of us at CNN's Atlanta headquarters, as well as our CNN.com colleagues in London, can't order some takeout. The Spinach and Grilled Wild Salmon Salad, Black Angus burgers, and Cobbler a la Mode sound tempting.)

Mc Cain Vp by no means represent my conservative christian values. Her example of a twice married, superstar role model mom applauding her 17 year teen mom to be is a disgrace. With her toddler and her grand to be, who does she think she she is fooling. She needs to be home nuturing her kids who look so attention deprived in the photo shoot. If she can't manage her own house as evidenced by her daughter, how could she manage a bigger house

Sheeesh! If I was McCain I'd cringe at all those speeches made on his behalf at the RNC. Bigotry, naivete, ignorance, hate & fear-mongering.
Remember, McCain was a pilot in an invading military in Vietnam. Being shot down he was a prisoner of war. Nothing heroic! The Vietnamese were fighting for their freedom from colonialist. So what does that make McCain in the eyes of the world? Hero? Take your blindfold off! He was shot down bombing & shooting innocent Vietnamese women & children in Hanoi!
Now Iraq that's another story! There are no WMD, but there's oil! The Taleban & Al Quada are in Afganistan, but there's no oil there. Republicans you have been mislead by your so-called party leaders. Take your blindfolds off. The real world is out there!
ps The fat clown with the red tie and the ignoramus with the blue tie on CNN live should stop showing their bigotry & ignorance!

One item, which may have more serious consequences on international and the United States security than Iraq or Afghanistan, is the subject of stationing US missiles and radar systems on Russia’s doorstep, which in effect is tantamount of Russia stationing its missiles in Cuba or Venezuela. How would we react to such action? Stationing eleven launchers on Russia’s doorstep would not make Europe any safer.

On the contrary, our actions could provoke Russia to reactivate European target list with thousands of Russian missiles pointing to major European cities. I do not see how this would make Europe any safer. We already see the increase in tensions between the Western nations and Russia, and Russia’s behavior in the Republic of Georgia. In view of our own behavior, can we really blame Russia for theirs? Yet, there is a total absence in our media, political debates, or where the presidential candidates stand on this important subject.

I believe that the American public is either not knowledgeable or not interested on the missile issue. So where is the media, where is CNN to educate the public? Where are the Gallup pollsters?

I would really like to know. We do not need another arms race or a new cold war. My vote for president will not be based so much on abortion or gay rights, and although those are also important subjects, they would not have impact on our overall security, one way or another. My vote will be based on where the candidates stand on the missile issue. The difference in their stand on this subject would mean the difference in more or less secure United States.
