I don't like soccer (or any form of professional sports) because inevitably, indirectly or otherwise,
too many people end up hurting other people.
Belligerance, in any form, is immoral and wrong.

BTW, I used to like to watch television.

Fussball is a great game. I can find the ball during play! Unlike American football where the ball is somewhere under a huge pile of huge men who continue to pile on after the ball carrier has been totally mashed.
It is amazing to see how accurately the players direct the ball with a foot to the place they want the ball to go.
I only cringe when someone uses his head, literally, to hit the ball.

Show as much enthusiasm for the world and its people and we might not be in such a mess.

I didn't like soccer until about two months ago when I got a job at a sports complex as a sports photographer.

It is actually quite interesting to watch and one thing always amazes me - these people run ALOT and do so while jumping over each other, jumping as high as physically possible, and trying to break a defense and goalie.

Now I'm a fan.

To John Draeger.
It would seem your life is more boring than soccer, as you could not find anything else to do but comment on it.

To John Draeger--

Yes, in fact, there is something more boring than soccer, and that's the same complaints of "soccer is boring" every time there is a major international soccer championship. French-bashing has also become quite predictable and tedious. Over a billion people around the world enjoy soccer. Don't watch it if you don't like it. There's many other sports to enjoy.

Is there anything more numbingly boring than soccer? Perhaps a bicycle race through France …?
